New Disney Original by Tim Rogerson

As a rising star in the art world, Tim Rogerson casts his artwork with a very evident energy and passion. Inspired by the works of Edgar Degas and Malcolm Liepke, the North Carolina native has embarked on an artistic journey that has taken him from Degas to Disney to darling of the industry.

Mr. Rogerson grew up living the everyday life of a kid, playing outside and “hanging out” with friends, however, the artistic urge to create was always present, compelling him to apply the pictures and images in his head to paper and canvas.

Every child has a dream. For Mr. Rogerson, it was to be an artist as well as satisfying his desire to return to his home-state; back to the magical kingdom from which he came. Of course being surrounded by the whimsical images of Disney characters, even after his family moved to North Carolina; his father was an avid Disney collector and supporter, didn’t help curb his appetite for the Sunshine State. However, it was these images that helped form some of Mr. Rogerson’s style, which has begun to earn him critical acclaim.

New from William Hemmerling!

"One day when I let God out of the box I built, he danced with me". - William Hemmerling

The Influence of southern folk culture and many diverse life experiences are incorporated into the eclectic painting of William Hemmerling. Bill was born in Chicago and moved to Ponchatoula, Louisiana in 1977. Upon retirement in March 2002, he finally found time to paint from the heart. He is an untrained artist, yet his work reflects sophistication and creativity in both subject matter and the use of unusual materials. Bill is constantly searching for and using found or recycled materials for his one-of-a-kind creations.

There is an element of fantasy in much of his work and he often paints well into the early morning hours. He explores various themes of New Orleans Jazz musicians, Down By the River, nudes and famous artists and authors. But, he is best known for his series of Southern African American folk culture depicting life in the old south entitled "Sweet Olive". The Sweet Olive images are copyrighted and trademarked.

His love of people, his enthusiasm and his humble, "offbeat" nature bring a definite excitement and energy to his folk art.

New from David Lloyd Glover - The Rock Series

David Lloyd Glover was born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, in 1949. His early years were spent at Royal Roads Hartley Castle, formerly the baronial estate of Sir Robert Dunsmuir, which had been converted to a military college where his father served as an administrator. There, surrounded by neo-classical architecture, traditional Japanese, English and Italian gardens, as well as the stunning natural beauty of the British Columbia seacoast, Glover's sensitivity to the relationship between man and nature was nurtured. It is this sensitivity, which is the focal point of his work.

Glover's watercolor technique is largely based on that which is not done, and that which is not there. Paying close attention to the water, he cultivates degrees of colorlessness thus giving the painting to the light, which is softly diffused through the translucent pigments, so the painting is illuminated from within. Rather than rendering form through the definition of mass, Glover often merely suggests substance by painting the shadows that cling to form.

LEGENDS - Proceeds will benefit VH1 Save the Music Foundation

Artist Tim Rogerson, known for his transformative artistic interpretations, has boldly brought together some of the most respected rock and roll musicians of our time. This fantasy collaboration celebrates the older generation's influence over the new and asks the question, "What music would this collaboration produce?"

The subjects in this piece were carefully considered by Mr. Rogerson. They are, from left to right: BB King, Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Jimi Hendrix, John Frusciante, Keith Richards, Carlos Santana, and Chuck Berry. Each musician carries an artistic replication of the guitar they are famous for playing.

Proceeds from the sale of this painting will benefit VH1 - Save the Music Foundation, which helps develop sustainable music programs that provide children with equal access to music education regardless of their financial situation.

Legends is the first of three paintings that will be introduced this year to support VH1 - Save the Music Foundation.
